That chicken spread is objectively awesome. Personally, I don't care about the terminology. I have an aunt who calls deviled eggs "angel eggs" and it honestly just comes off as silly.

I agree, 'angel eggs' is dumb as all hell. They're called deviled because of the spice, and spicey foods certainly are not angelic.

To OP's question, no, nor would I avoid them now. Except maybe the chicken spread, because canned chicken spread just sounds like a bad idea.
