When asked about the controversial late term abortion bill presented in Virginia’s House of Delegates this week, Governor Ralph Northam said a fully developed child born in the third trimester would be kept alive, but the physician and mother would get to discuss and decide whether to take its life or not.

“If a mother is in labor…the infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and mother,” Northam said on WTOP’s “Ask The Governor” segment this morning.

How can anyone seriously think this is ok? Even before I was a Christian it was clear killing unborn children is murder, but now they are planning on killing actually alive born children, next up children up to the age of 10 you don't want, then 18 and then anyone the state deems "a threat".

Southern Virginian here, interesting watching every church denomination in my area slowly rally with one another against the abortion cause considering our usual animosity.

Haven't met a soul against infanticide besides a few contrarians and a handful of radical feminists on campus. People are upset by this.

The wierd part is that these are mainly a bunch of secular and reform Jews.

The only instance in the Torah that allows abortion is a slightly confusing set of verses that basically allows a man to have his wife drink something that would cause an abortion if she is accused of adultery, and if she then becomes acursed.

No free abortions or women's choice is anywhere close to the actual readings. That's why Orthodox Jews aren't fond of it.
