I apologize if this has been brought up before, but it's been on my mind lately. I'm not too familiar with the bible, but there are multiple passages dealing with God creating Heaven and Earth. Using that logic wouldn't that mean God created suffering and evil? I mean Eden was a paradise until Adam and Eve were seduced by Satan to eat the apple of knowledge of good and evil. Yet, it was God who cursed mankind and not the devil. Below are some more questionable acts by God.
The Great Flood - Are you telling me that everyone was bad and deserved to die, but Noah and his family? That there was no one deserving mercy and redemption?
Sodom & Gomorrah - See the Great Flood.
Asking Abraham to Kill His Son - God basically told Abraham pussy you won't, and the mad man almost killed his son because of it.
The Bet Against Job - Rather than declining Satan's bet, God puts Job through unneeded suffering to prove a point.
There's probably more examples like these, but I noticed one thing about them. Satan isn't the one causing evil and suffering. While yes he tempted Adam and Eve and tried to tempt Jesus, he never killed or cursed anyone. With Jesus' sacrifice I thought we were forgiven of our sins, but why do we still suffer and why does evil still exist? Why worship a God that allows suffering and evil?
