Has anyone here ever lived in a monastery? If so, what was life like?

If they were to have lived in a monastery and don't anymore it would most likely mean they had broken their vows.

I had the opportunity to stay at a monastery for a month.

I did. It was very hard.

I ended up marrying a nun and we both left the monastic life behind. Yes we broke our vows and conceived a child. Afterwards we were both cast out but we stuck together, got married and life is good now.

Wrong, you can stay at a monastery for quite a long time before having to make any vows.
