This, porn is the worst thing and one of the easiest ways to get release with, going without it gives terrible feelings of withdraw and anxiety.

I was able to quit smoking in the past while using vape, its a hard habit to get over but doable, specially if you're able to feel the weight on your lungs, respiration and bad smell.

This is me. I've gone from pack a day to zero for 6+ months about three or four times now (basically, resolving to just quit smoking once I get up to the pack a day level) without so much as a headache. It's more like a habit than an addiction, and no withdrawl symptoms.

Porn is on a whole other level. While it's still more of a habit, the withdrawl (satyriasis, basically) and compulsion to masturbate is incredibly strong.

You want the vape to emulate cigarettes as close as you can - that means getting a high nicotine content juice (12%ish, maybe more), with a tobacco-like flavor, and a high percentage of PG over VG (for the increased throat hit). Using a cigarette-like module rather than a box will help with the oral fixation.

When I did it first I had to go all in, e-cigs are crap and don't really help, so I brought a proper vape, something I could wire and maintain myself, plus brought the ingredients and learn how to do the juices myself, since its much cheaper, more maintainable over the long run and that you can tune to better fit your own taste.

It requires a lot of trial and error though, so that's why I dove head in and kept insisting through my mistakes. It was somewhat easier for me because when I smoke I also used to hand roll my own tobacco cigs.

But there is a trap, with time you get over traditional cig use, will lower nicotine needs and will even feel disgusting and smelly if you try it again. However there is always trigger right in the back on the mind, when you're buying something and see that pack of cigarettes, that "it isn't a big deal I'll just get one", and that's a way to get hooked again in the bad habit.
