The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

I want to start reading some stuff that will allow me to answer basic theological questions and secular challenges to Christianity. From my limited research of works to read, Mere Christianity by CS Lewis seems to be a good starting point. Also I have heard good things about Orthodoxy by GK Chesterton. Is there anything you, my friends can recommend?

I warn you, Mere Christianity mindnumbingly basic its more or less babbies first apologetic

The reason for god by Tim Keller is an easy one. Also Answering atheism by Trent Horn even has conversations with NPCs.

If you are Catholic the best one is the Last Superstition by Ed Feser, a lot of (basic) Aristotelian, Thomistic philosophy and philosophy of mind in there

And it's great for that purpose. But you are literally talking someone with next to no knowledge, granted.
