Anyone who helps anyone at a hefty cost of their time, energy, and resources or health is sacrifice in a sense but many people don't want to these days since they feel they don't have to. Sacrifice could just be standing up for one's own religious beliefs where there's persecution.

It's a wonder whether Christians would ever feel the need to take up arms once more in the west, but for now sacrifice could come from people acknowledging and committing to raising a family of strong faith and trying to make an religious impact in their community/local government. I just wish it was as easy as saying it though.

Sacrifice does not mean loss, it comes from sacra facere in Latin. It means to make holy.

Sacrifice is not feeling bad so others can feel good, not by its definition. It is an example, yes, but not its totality. Altruism is holy, but not the definition of holiness.

The purpose of this life is to cooperate with the Grace of God like a plant does with sunlight. To make oneself holy is the goal of this life and the next.

Nope, nope, nope. Self-sacrifice is a hefty task, and it's monumental if it involves acceptance of death. Sacrificing yourself for anything is NOT holy. It has to be for something holy in return. You don't just do random acts of kindness because dude altruism lmao. That's a new age feel-good atheist/lukewarm Christian shtick. You do something because it's just and holy, not because it will make someone or you feel good. Plenty of painful things are holy. Sacrifice without holiness is suicide, and God does not condone suicide.
