Romans 16 says to "greet one another with a holy kiss". Early Christians would kiss each other on the lips during the liturgy, nowadays some do a kiss on the cheek instead or a handshake. Kissing one another (not long drawn "make outs", obviously) was not seen as any more weird or sexual than a hug.
