The Greek Septuagint (LXX), 132 BC; the Dead Sea Scrolls (1QIsa), 125 BC; Codex Sinaiticus (Greek), AD 330-360; Biblia Hebraica (Hebrew) Stuttgartensia (Leningrad Codex B19a), AD 1008-1010; all say "wolf." There are no versions of the Bible that read "lion"

Isaiah 11:6 (KJV)

6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

English speakers are in a special situation because Lion and Lamb have poetic alliteration. This is not the case for those words in most languages. Old Anglo-Saxon poetry among others was based on alliteration. Traditional poetic forms such as alliteration have developed because they make the poems easy to remember. The lion was also mentioned elsewhere in the same sentence, making the word lion easily accessible to people's minds. So if someone initially mistakes the wolf for the lamb, English-speaking people hearing the mistake are liable to repeat the mistaken version because that's the form that sticks to the memory.

I could of sworn it was lion, as well, but even if the Mandela effect was a real thing, the idea of it affecting scripture would probably be blasphemous.

How do wolves maintain such nice coats? Do they have brushes in the wild as well? If you don't brush a domesticated dog they start looking very ragged, but this guy looks quite dapper. Perhaps he got ready for the photoshoot.
