No, because consciousness isn't soul, soul is an ineffable quality that gives people agency beyond the material interdependence of phenomena. An AI would be the simple product of material interactions, that being the case consciousness give no real substance to a thing, making it " unsubstantial " from a spiritual point of view.

AI is completely material. All AI would be in the literal sense possessed by Satan. Look at AI-generated images online, many of them look demonic, especially those generated by generative adversarial networks. I'm not saying don't use machine learning, but if there ever comes a point where an AI has human-level intelligence, it would be 100% possessed by Satan. To even make such an AI is anti-Christian and anti-God on so many levels.

Why is everyone so into the idea of super-advanced AI? It's so far away (if even possible) that it is well into the realm of fantasy. Even Jegle admits that their AI is really stupid compared to humans.
