The problem here is that these people set such a low bar for what constitutes "good" that they claim they're good people even when the sum of their existence is working their 9-5 job, being generally polite to the people they briefly interact with and going home to jack off 3 times then watch Netflix. They're not even good people in a worldly sense, let alone in the far more strict sense God demands of us to be spiritually pure.
When these people end up in judgement they're going to see their "good deeds" as a few tiny specks of light in a sea of darkness that was every hurtful act, both intentional and negligent. Then they will realize their entire life was spent caring only for themselves while they deluded themselves the pocket change they gave to the homeless guy in the corner qualifies them as a good person. How much suffering is occurring right now that could be ended by one, just one person going out and saying to the suffering souls on the street "Here, come into my house and eat with me, sleep here tonight in the warmth"
Surely there are enough "good people" undeserving of Hell to do that simple act? Or are there?
