The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

How do we go back to wholesome values? I think history is cyclical, something just needs to trigger the conservative-Christian uprising.

>inb4 just be wholesome and teach your kids good values

But what about the culture??

c06284  No.689192

>conservative-Christian uprising

Not going to happen. Plus history isnt cyclical, it's linear. Technology has evolved to the point where the complete breakdown of social norms was available. That technology is always gonna be there. (Protip: you're using that technology right now)

fc1a0b  No.689194

cyclical in terms of values, degeneracy doesn't last forever, like the roman empire gave way to the christian, which was actually an improvement

Avoid public school, don't met media into your homes, don't let the world raise or give ideas to your kids.

>le whig history

Historians don't think like that for already 200 years or so bro. History is not linear at all, that's what liberals want you to believe so that we reach some 'end state' through 'progress'

No TV, and keep on eye on what your children are exposed to on the internet and in books.

People use media to substitute themselves as parents, that's usually the problem.

>>689277

I don't think that's necessarily the solution. When I was younger and saw things like MTV encouraging fornication, it didn't encourage me to do it. It just made me disgusted at the network

I think the solution lies more in giving your children a reason to disagree with this stuff. Give them access to books like In the Beginning so they're ready for things like evolutionary propaganda. Tell them about sin so they recognize it on TV when they see it and learn to be disgusted by it

But in reality it's probably not a clear-cut thing and depends on the kid

>that pic

Shitty modern Cosmopolitan tier magazines have been a constant throughout history since pulp magazines became affordable.

Dont cherrypick.

ae1907  No.689316

Also, >>689311 is right.

Solution isnt some totalitarian control over information, to raise some sheltered neurotic kid.

Its raising the type of kid that sees Cosmopolitan or Men's Health as frivolous bullshit, and tabloids as celebrity worshipping wastes of paper and bandwidth.

Its not that hard.

>I'm using technology right now to discuss theology on a Christian board, which somehow breaks societal norms

07ded1  No.689327

>>689192

technology doesn't inherently break down societal norms, neglecting the virtues it was founded on does. it can fill the role though.

c06284  No.689339

>>689327

Technology does. Technology changes society and past structures change. When it comes to morals, it causes a general breakdown. People are inherintly sinful and any more opportunity people have, they will be more sinful. With tinder, modern transport, anonymity in large urban centers, it's no wonder morality just doesnt exist in general society anymore

>>689274

>le secular academics say….

Sure. Academics say a lot of shit.

Things repeat themselves because humans act in similar ways to similar situations, but history is very linear. There is a start (creation) then an end (judgment). We are going to reach an end state and it's going to be the world basically being one big sodom and ghomorrah. There isnt going to be any age of perfect Christian morality, this isnt promised anywhere in the Bible. It's going to get worse and worse, to the point where the devil has near unchallenged authority over the whole of earth, and then judgment will come.

It's nice to think about some le epic christian militia fighting for a new deus vult retake jerusalem xD but it's not going to happen. It's larping,it's fanfic. Prepare for the reality of open persecution against you rather than waiting patiently for something thats not going to happen

Get reprints of 1917 editions of Cosmopolitan magazine back on the shelves I guess.

Hopefully laudanum addiction and bigamy doesn't spike.
