What is with black americans and their incessant need for Jesus Santa and basically every pop culture figure to be black? It comes off less as them trying to build a cultural identity and more so as them flaccidly attempting to appropriate cultural/religious figures out of spite of other races in America and an inferiority complex of ones own place in their society. Localized depictions of Jesus in ones culture is understandable as this helps foreign cultures relate to them, but it seems like many of these people actually believe Jesus was an Ethiopian. Ironically enough many of these people's ancestors would've came from West Africa, so even if Jesus was somehow Ethiopian they still wouldn't be related to him.
