I was thinking, we have threads discussing the different sects of Christianity, or the different traditions of those sects, but I don't feel like we talk about what makes us stop and go 'thank you, God, for this thing I enjoy.'

I thank God for helping me slowly turn my life around and giving me the courage to improve myself, if only in baby steps. I thank Him for giving me a second chance, although some days I wonder if I'm doing enough. I also thank Him for giving me a new perspective on family, granting me patience so I can help them.

For forgiving me even though I keep on falling countless of times, and for being patient with me. For giving me a wonderful family and caring friends and for the small things that makes everyday brighter. For being a good and just God, and for being a loving Father.

I thank God for giving me the strength to deal with my depression and not letting me succeed when I attempted suicide a few years ago. Things have been going strong and I'm much happier and more secure since turning to christ

I'm thankful that despite being a friendless loser who contemplates suicide on a near daily basis that he has still not given up on me and wants me to live a life according to his will.
