>Was 30 when he was "called"
>He was coming out of a river (prefiguration opf baptism?) when an angel gave him a revelation
>He went on to preach about the good god and also a wicked god, of good and evil, of truth and the lie
>He spoke of a prophecy of a virgin giving birth to an ultimate saviour
>He spoke of an ultimate judgement of mankind and the overthrow of evil
This might sound generic to us, seeing how it was all fulfilled, but it was obviously incredibly profound to nomads who spend most of their time raiding each other and sacrificing horses to the Sun.
I wouldn't go so far as to say that he was inspired like Ezechiel was, for example, since I think what the angel told him he misunderstood (i.e. making satan an opposite of God), just like how you can find odd, faint parallels in other ancient faiths which have debased the Truth of God (like the Logos which you mentioned).
I would even go so far as to say the Zoroastrian fascination with fire is a corruption of the understanding of the Holy Spirit.
