Debate which? His cartoonishly bad representation of the Trinity or his misunderstanding of the Second Commandment? There are multiple issue with his reasoning.

Because an all powerful, all omnipotent being that literally created the Earth and us humans in HIS own image can't possibly come to Earth as a human.

Its like these so-called jews aren't actually jews, but of the synagogue of their father, satan.

>And Moses said unto the Lord, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight. Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.

>And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

>And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.

>And the Lord said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.

>And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.

>And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.

>And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: and it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: and I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

>– Exod. XXXIII 12-23

Would they say God having a front, back, hands, and face is symbolic?

I recently heard a bunch of lectures from the mouth of the jew himself about the body of God in the old testament. Was pretty interesting, tbh.

>Would they say God having a front, back, hands, and face is symbolic?

Seems like it would be in that context. Why would they not be able to see God's face and live if that were not the case? People saw Christ's face and lived, so it must refer to two different faces.

It's a weak argument, most Jews who are scholars don't primarily deny Christian ideas about how God is constituted, they instead reject Jesus's Messiah-ship.

Of course they do in fact have a thing or two against the trinity, but it's more because to them the spirit of God and God himself are the same thing as far as they concern themselves.

>He is the existence and also the framework of existence of everything. Both things simultaneously. Hence there cannot be anything or anywhere devoid of Him. A body implies some kind of "place" where He is and another place where He is not and this is impossible in light of the above.

Jews are a lot like Muslims for arguing that God can't do things because He's omnipotent

>Genesis 18: God, in the form of a human being, eats with Abraham

Modern Jews are just endless philosophizers who reject their own scriptures. Muslims at least created a scripture for themselves that conforms to their false beliefs. There is nothing in true scripture that says God can't become man

This was actually some of the most damning evidence to me that their religions were false. Their absurd conceptualizations of God are just flimsy covers for their idolatry.

The Deuteronomy 4:12 quotation is the result of misreading the text. Moses, addressing the Israelites declares that they saw no human form in the glory of the Lord. This is true. However, Exodus 24 9-11 shows that Moses and company saw the Lord when they ascended Mount Sinai before this and describes him in human terms.

24:9 Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel

24:10 And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.

25:11 And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.

The True Power of the Cross

To preach the message of the cross seems like sheer nonsense to those who are on their way to destruction, but to us who are on our way to salvation, it is the mighty power of God released within us. For it is written:

I will dismantle the wisdom of the wise

and I will invalidate the intelligence of the scholars.

So where is the wise philosopher who understands? Where is the expert scholar who comprehends? And where is the skilled debater of our time who could win a debate with God? Hasn’t God demonstrated that the wisdom of this world system is utter foolishness?

For in his wisdom, God designed that all the world’s wisdom would be insufficient to lead people to the discovery of himself. He took great delight in baffling the wisdom of the world by using the simplicity of preaching the story of the cross in order to save those who believe it. For the Jews constantly demand to see miraculous signs, while those who are not Jews constantly cling to the world’s wisdom, but we preach the crucified Messiah. The Jews stumble over him and the rest of the world sees him as foolishness.

I think a lot of confusion comes from people imagining the Incarnation to be like the digitization scene from Tron. They think that just because God becomes human that he stops being Divine, like heaven becomes empty for the time being. This is also what Jehova's Witnesses believe, they believe that the Archangel Michael was destroyed and transplanted into the body of Jesus, and that Jesus's body was then destroyed and Michael restored back.

This is not what Christianity teaches, Christians believe that Jesus is both fully human and fully divine, that He did not somehow stop being God for a while before resuming His original role. I think if that misunderstanding got out of the way people would at least consider the Incarnation as a possibility.
