I really hate to play the "normies out reeee" card, but for most people they literally cannot comprehend waiting for sex. They are so corrupted by lust. Many of them will complain about how long it has been since the last time they had sex and how they're choking for it again, so it blows their mind to think that someone is denying themselves that "pleasure".
Which is part of the problem, since they have such an earthy view of sex that they have forgotten it's divine purpose of procreation. For this it doesn't really matter how "good" someone is, so long as they job gets done. If it's good and you both enjoy it, that's a plus, but to look at it purely as a means of gratification is polluted thinking.
You also seem to be under the illusion that the people who think of sex in such a way really care about having a lasting relationship. Most of them will probably cycle through a few three- to four-year relationships and then move on, with some messing about in between to keep them going. Longevity and commitment are far from their minds, even though this is what they actually crave.
