It doesn't say gay men are banned, it says "those who PRACTICE homosexuality". So people who are attracted to men but do not practice gay sex are welcome. Now try enforcing that. It's easy to say you're celibate. Yeah, the Church has definitely cracked down on this in the past few decades. Most of the disgusting men that have abused those kids are now old and so are the bishops that allowed for it. There are less and less of them every day, so hopefully we can start moving forward. I have a lot of faith in the next generation of priests and bishops, most priests under 40 tend to be on the traditional side. :)

This. The idea that someone goes without sex for a long time leads to them deciding to rape children is absurd. Pedophiles have an evil heart, that’s why they decide that raping children is ok. Just like how in prisons there’s a lot of homosexual activity. The normal but sinful response to desiring sex but not being able to get it is to fap to attractive women. One has to have a considerably depraved heart to instead decide children or other men are viable sexual interests.

I remember this guy on here a year ago or so going for priesthood but he had to do some kind of anti-pedo screening but he was very nervous that some weird reaction might occur.
Heart rate, pupil dilation, sweating etc. are all influenced by a lot of things.
If I were to take such a test right now (on nofap, insomnia, stress and gastric acid burn) I'd have good chances to fail because I'm getting pissed off for no good reason these days, something which WILL trigger my heart rate, blood pressure and whatnot.
Not to mention that I've been on imageboards long enough that regular gore and pizza pics won't do me much in terms of shock value.
