Depends on where. Not all architecture is good for everywhere. For example, in the Gulf Coast it's a good idea to build hurricane resistant buildings.

The French government took control of the church in 1907, so the bastards could do whatever they wanted with it.

They demolished it to build a parking lot.

Things like this are becoming more common: https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/696194/Marion-Le-Pen-catholic-priest-dragged-church-Sainte-Rita-France

Sorry, but I wouldn't.

"Church" is not a building, it is the people of Christ, the believers who produce fruit who seek to do God's will on this earth.

Sure, those people have to meet, but I'm down with the "meeting tent is fine" brigade.

What matters is Christ adored, glorified, not in the room in which that happens.

I think The Church forgot that soon after the first century or two.

Still, that's not what you really wanted to know, I suppose. You want to know what is my favourite style of architecture.

Frankly, pic is a little related. Though it's weird, I gotta go with Gaudi's vision for the Cathedral: it's different, imaginative, creative, organic and looks a lot like a forest of huge trees. I like it. I'm glad they're building it.

>>559145 >>559208

>The monster nods respectfully in your general direction

Distinctively Chinese, yet still in traditional gothic form. Much kudos. And I like the Trinity mural, even if it does show the Father and Spirit as mere "men" of Christ's form.

But, I gotta ask, why is the "evil eye" in the rafters/on the ceiling?

I would build a simple concrete multistory building and use the rest for soul winning. Any other answer is wicked because you are saying that architecture and other things of this world are worth more than the countless souls going straight to Hell.

>But, I gotta ask, why is the "evil eye" in the rafters/on the ceiling?

It's the eye of Providence, from Wikipedia

The association of an eye with the concept of Divine Providence did not emerge until well into the Christian Era. In Renaissance European iconography the eye surrounded by a triangle was an explicit image of the Christian Trinity. Seventeenth-century depictions of the Eye of Providence sometimes show it surrounded by clouds or sunbursts.

p cool stuff. Gothic is nice, grand and maximalist, and on the other hand we have minimalist which is a cool design, which is in vogue with many tech items like apple etc, or just a lot of architecture, music (lofi asthetic etc).

I was looking at the blessed sacrament in its monstrance the other day and what got to me was how it seemed to incorporate both. The monstrance was very maximalist, intricate gold with angels or the evangelists on the four corners, rays of light shining etc, and it comes together in the center of the eucharist, being utterly simple and minimalist, just as God is simple. From something pure and simple which is God exudes all the maximal intricacies of the world. I just loved that it seemed to combine both ideas and would love further architecture and art to expound on this principle.
