>because God.
Bad response. God is not Allah, that wants blind following.
<Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. (John 15:15)
>it's called the New Testament, not the Better Testament.
<By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. (Hebrews 7:22)
>I think God wanted the earth to be populated, he actually loves people and seeing us multiply.
the blessing came prefall
<And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
(Genesis 1:28)
As for the OP
>Why institute a massive covenant with high levels of detail concerning animal sacrifices, altars, tablenacles, garments, washing rituals, etc, only to abolish it for a better testament?
For Jews to be differed from others and to remind them that the Saviour would be incarnated in their nation.
>Wouldn’t it have been better for Christ to have lived and dies right after the fall?
Well, general idea is that God allows misery so that we should become stronger and wiser.
<3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
<4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
<5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
So in a big picture, it IS better that it happened so.
