Could we have a /go to the church/ general?

I bet many people here are interested in joining a church but just aren't sure which one to pick or how to attend a church alone.

I want to start frequenting a church but I don't know where do I even start. I'm 19, I don't want to just go there by myself, sit, listen and leave without talking to anyone for months but I'm also not into having too much interaction.

Grow up. Stop making excuses about being introverted or whatever mental block you have about actually communicating with people. Just do what God commands you and go to a baptist :^) church.

With "not into having too much interaction" I meant it in a way where the church becomes nothing but a excuse to socialize where the people in there don't even care that much about God's teachings.

New ID btw

Don't be nervous to go alone, anon. You're there for God, not anybody else.

I'd say in most Catholic parishes it's like this, if you go in and don't interact with anyone, then nobody will bother you. Of course, there's always options to socialize with people (outside of mass, such as at parish events, Bible study, youth group, etc). Most Catholics don't go to mass for any real socialization.

Let me know if you'd like to find know any specifics about Catholicism, but here's some basic info to start you off: https://www.catholicscomehome.org/your-questions/

May God bless you!

I moved away from home almost 4 years ago; going to mass by myself is the least of my worries (and honestly ,it feels great).

Lot of churches near me, but how do you know which ones where they have undermined tradition?

what country are you in?

make sure it's orthodox and you know the basis of the faith. least likely to be corrupted by modernism.

when it comes to church etiquette and customs you just have to read up on the norms and talk to people.
