I don't think that breard is problem.

Whenever I grow a beard it has ugly bare patches so I keep it clean-shaven.

Try it out both ways.

Grow a beard for a few months, take a photo, cover the top of your face and look at it objectively.

See whether you like it.

Then shave, and see how you feel.

Also, trust the general opinion of girls your own age, as they are the ones you want to attract, not your mother.

My beard was patchy in the beginning.

Let it grow out, it'll get thicker and patches will grow in.

The non-patchy pats cover the patchy ones pretty good after a while.

Lots of the patches will dissapear too and get thick hair growth.

I can vouch for this minus the estrogen stuff, I don't know about that as I was 23 before I could grow a good beard. Its now to the point where I have other bearded men compliment me on it and I get it trimmed at the barber's shop. So have hope, beardless men in this thread!
