Talking about "time" in purgatory is pointless really. "Time" on the other side is not "time" as we know it. Sure, Church employed metaphors of "days" or "years" in purgatory but they were only metaphors to get some board feeling about it. But it always have been it - metaphor.

All that went to purgatory went to heaven. But "nothing unclean shall enter heaven". So saved but not clean must be purified if they did not do it in their lifetime. Mercy of God is great.

First of all, it's Dante fanfiction. Not to be held seriously, but it's good book.
Second of all, it's seven deadly sins. I have no idea why they are in their order. Probably St. Thomas explained it in summa. But I know why Pride is first:
For Prophet said:
10:12 The beginning of pride is when one departeth from God, and his heart is turned away from his Maker.
10:13 For pride is the beginning of sin, and he that hath it shall pour out abomination: and therefore the Lord brought upon them strange calamities, and overthrew them utterly.

>to get even smallest indulgence one have to completely detach from sin, pray at least Pater Noster, go to confession and take Eucharist
