¿Te referís al hecho de que un solo bit de información puede representar un estado de activado o desactivado y que a la vez 1 y 0.999… son diferentes en cuanto a la información que los representa (diferentes valores de caracteres en una codificación dada o incluso diferentes tipos de datos dentro de un lenguaje de programación)? Ese fenómeno puede darse porque el algoritmo, la arquitectura, el compilador o la máquina virtual en cuestión interpretan ese bit como representación de determinado estado. Pero acá estamos de representaciones numéricas. Y justamente lo que digo es que son dos representaciones distintas, de la misma forma que 1/2 es una representación distinta de 0,5, o de 0,5000000 o de 2/4 pero todas hacen referencia al mismo valor numérico. También sucede lo mismo con los distintos sistemas numéricos: 1111 en binario y F en hexadecimal hacen referencia al valor 15 (decimal).
