1. socialists are made fun of in russian modern culture and literally very few of any modern russians like socialism/communism
2. there is a misconception of what "democrat" represents on the both sides of the iron curtain. Russian liberals think that democrats of the west share their ideas and liberals of the west think that russians share theirs.
3. liberals in russia are much closer to republicans in US in that sense that they are classical liberals, its just a huge chuck of them are unaware of it, because the logic is this "who calls themselves liberal in us? democrats? i guess we like that"
Liberals in russia are pro-freedom of speech, anti government involvement, they are against censorship and large government
Putin on the other hand represents everything the american left does, censorship, calling everybody a nazi, jailing people for the wrong opinions, gigantic taxes, huge government
It's literally just that both sides know nothing about one another

2ch is probably not something that is worth ivestigating. Now it is rather just a part of a vkantakte group which to some point promotes such ideas, but people there most likely support and replicate them to look "special" and to show off, and partly beacause of funny pictures it posts. They may be representatives of modern russians but it is doubtful whether such people represent at least one-tenths of all young russians. Imageboards in Russia are rather underground part of the internet and dvach is more of a vkontakte group which exploits some of those ideas to gain more popularity.
