Yeah he's a good lad, very warm and friendly, we've always gotten along. Complete opposite of my mum's biological dad, who was an abusive parent, has been to prison for beating people up with knuckledusters, has tattoos on his fingers, and only wrote his second wife(AKA "the goblin") and her kids into his will, leaving nothing for his 4 actual kids. He's still alive, but I've only met him a couple of times when I was a kid. I remember their house being filthy and neglected, stinking of cigarettes and bird shit, and containing about 50 bird cages in various rooms (and in the garden, which was otherwise filled with wild grass that hadn't been cut for many years) with all kinds of birds in them, causing an absolute racket. Lookswise, I take after him more than anyone else in my family, which is weird to think about.

I saw episode I at the cinema when I was a kid, and I thought it was boring, minus the podracing bits. Never watched II and III because of that. Since then I've only watched a fan-made restoration of the original Star Wars, and I thought it was a decent film, especially for it's day. I don't really get why the franchise developed such a nerdy and autistic following though, it's a very "normal" action adventure film if you look past the futuristic sci-fi setting, which is completely unnecessary to the plot for the most part. It could have been set in ancient or medieval times, and it wouldn't have been that different.

Most days, and I do have some but they're not hard enough yet. It doesn't help that I'm using metal strings, they really dig in. It's annoying because all I want to do is play, I haven't felt this kind of desire to learn and improve in years, and I can't because of the pain.
