I've written about my experience with them a couple of times before, but basically I stopped feeling any emotion at all, couldn't bring myself to do anything besides lie on my bed while staring at the wall most of the time, I constantly felt like I was going to be sick, and I could barely piss or ejaculate. Sometimes I'd be standing at the loo for 4-5 minutes trying to get it going.

I was on a stupidly high dose though, 80mg of fluoxetine a day at one point. I've also been on citalopram, and some other one beginning with M that I forgot the name of. The "M" one was the worst by far, that shit smashed my ego and sense of who I was to pieces, and I'm pretty sure it fucked up my memory.

I certainly can't remember anything from around that period of my life anyway. A couple of years later my mind clicked back together and I felt like "me" again, and I could recognise the person I saw in the mirror. I dread to think what would have happened had I not quit cold turkey and refused to take any more drugs.

SSRI's a shit in my opinion, but talk it through with your doctor or whoever before blindly taking any old anon's advice.

My anxiety only flares up when other people interact with me, and over the years I've managed to get myself somewhat accustomed to one on one interaction with people who work in shops. The moment things get busy though, I start to panic and freak out, hence why I wont go on match day.

I usually spend ages trying to find a cafe because when I walk past them they look too full and I cant get into them. It helps that I know that people in the city are all busy and in a rush and stuff, concentrating on other things, and it's an hour away, so I'm less likely to run into someone I know from school.

I can relate to this a lot, in fact I was pretty much the class clown in school. I loved saying or doing stupid shit in front of everyone to piss the teachers off and make everyone else laugh, but eventually the laughs stopped and other people started growing up and left me behind.

I can relate to most of your post actually, I just get really caught up in anxious thoughts that stop me from even learning how to use a bus plus my previous bad experiences with them that I posted a few weeks ago.

There's also the fact that my "city" isn't really made for people to walk around, it was designed and built in the 60s and 70s, so it's made for cars, and mostly consists of large open concrete spaces with underpasses and shitty postmodern buildings and structures everywhere. It's a really depressing place to be actually, maybe I don't want to go there after all.

I'll put it on the future goals list anyway, it'll be a milestone even if I hate it.

I have to haul myself out of bed at 5AM for work. It SUCKS. I've run out of sick days halfway through the year, because I just can't bear getting out of bed some days, and I keep getting tonsillitis flareups because it's so fucking filthy at work.

And occasionally I just rest for a moment before getting out of bed, and suddenly I'm 10, 20, 30 minutes late.

If I don't pass the next driving test to get onto better hours and more money, I think I'm going to look into leaving. Office jobs are sounding nice about now. Money for sitting on my ass all day, getting out of bed after sunrise? No constant low-grade shitty feeling from diesel exhaust? Fuck yes.

I refuse to work 9-5, though, so it'd have to be somewhere with flextime. And, frankly, if they have that, I'd just work 8-6 four days a week and stay in bed friday.

Downside, I'd have to actually work out or diet, and I'd miss the bants, being able to play music all day and tell people to fuck off if they don't like it, and nobody looking down on me for singing along and playing air guitar.

Oh, and being able to hoard tools, stomp around in steel-toed boots, and kick things.

And afternoon naps. I would definitely miss my wednesday/friday naps.
