Economy is shit, I have IT skills and I'm tired of being underemployed. Someone suggests I take my skills and start my own small business, because I'm locally well-known as a good handyman / computer guy.
>I take a look at how much it costs for a tiny storefront and the danegeld to local authorities for the privilege.
>See how much I'd have to pay in taxes once I got running
>Holy shit.
Yeah, this ain't happening. My budget can be generously called 'shoestring' and I noticed that now is the time for small businesses are CLOSING, not opening.
So I decide to run it online, take cash & crypto, and maybe offer some 'off the books' services. Then I find out just how many steps there are to get to that point.
Freedom Hosting Reloaded has 100% free Tor hosting for very simple sites. Secmail has free Tor email. So I get an email, spend several hours trying to learn HTML from scratch so I could put up a front page. It's embarrassingly simple, needs a ton of work, but it's there. Lightning Services officially exists.
So now I need to know several things, and there's probably more I need to know that I don't even know.
How do I get a new phone number that's as anonymous as possible and keep it running?
Where are some good places to advertise my new business, preferably as low-cost as possible?
How do you design a webpage for a small IT business that doesn't completely suck?
How do you set up a crypto wallet anonymously?
And what kind of "off the books" services would sound attractive to 'normal' people? Or should I abandon that idea entirely and stick to "legit" services?
