This morning I got the battery replaced in one of my watches. That was $19. The guy broke the o-ring when he was re-installing the case back. That was another $6. When he rang it up he forgot about the o-ring and I told him.
I'd basically try and fix the obvious stuff with the engine and forget everything else.
If you're selling to a dealer, it's their own damn fault if they don't do due diligence. And they fuck enough people as it is.
If you're selling privately, suss it out I guess. I gave my VP commodore to a wrecker rather than sell it to a 16 year old boy. I knew it had a cracked engine block and would cost him in the end.
