Yeah it was pretty easy, switched to guitar when I was 13, I've never played a banjo, only real exotic thing I've played is a hardanger fiddle, a norwegian violin with frets and also has 3 or 4 sympathetic strings that resonate behind the other strings, kinda of gives it a n organ/harmonica sound.
