The great thing about nuclear weapons is, the destructive power is so immense and the fallout. Just the mere presence of them, or mention is enough to scare into submission. The greatest weapon is one you never even have to use, out of fear of its use.

All the nuclear weapons in the world today have essentially prevented another large scale, world conflict. No one wants to go to war on a global scale since most nations have nukes, and if we use them everyone loses. In an ironic sense, they are one of the biggest tools of peace in my mind.
