Macbeth 2015 is out on torrent. I think /asatru/ might like it since it's medieval, has pagan themes, great dialogue and some decent action.

Also the cast is all hwhite, no diversity quotas here. Sure it has some Christian symbolism but the main characters seem to call upon Satan and Witches more than the christian god anyway.

Also setting the trees on fire and having the fire come to Macbeth was a clever way of fulfilling that prophecy, in the other plays people would just camoflauge themselves with trees

Welp that was more or less dissapointing

Came in expecting a Coriolanus-style adaption where there's at least a somewhat clear linear narrative but what i got instead was a Valhalla Rising-type arthouse/borderline experimental flick with barely intelligible mumbled dialogue ("Dude le faithful adaption lmao xd")

At least it was pretty stylish i guess

Oh yeah and that battle scene in the beginning too, but that was just another bait scene to get viewers hooked

I watched The Revenant the other day and it did the exact same fucking thing this one did - Amazing intro battle scene with much effort put in but that was the whole load being shot, rest of the movie was just meh and actors trying to grow into these edgy pseudo-sophisticated arthouse personas

Guess this is the new style in hollywood now or something
