The 3rd Reich laid out a decent metric for this, at least on the civil side of things. 1/4 was the cutoff for having the rights of a full blooded Aryan, provided you looked like one.

With mixed bloods, spiritually, the gods and your (white) ancestors would look down on you, but you can redeem yourself and achieve greatness. You basically just have to work harder, and always look inside yourself to be aware of any merchant tendencies to overcome.
