Of course, sun worship was a central part of Asatru and most Indo-European religions. Tacitus said the early Germanic tribes worshiped only the sun and the moon, likely an exaggeration, but its likely they held them above other gods at some point.

Also check out the gold hats (which are admittedly Celtic but still appear in Germanic artwork) and the Nebra Sky disc if you want proof of glorious Aryan sun praising

Pretty sure that the sun isn't unimportant in germanic faith at all.
