there's barely anything left of celtic paganism. feels man, but most 'celts' today are in name only. the Scots and Welsh are ethnically and culturally identical to the English; they're all Anglo Saxon. The only different group are the Irish, but even then it's barely any difference.

THe point is that the saxon invasion was first a colonizaton and then became cultural; so saying England is celt because they re genetically similar to the rest of the nations of the Islands is nonesense, since culturally they are really different.

But this shouldnt be a really shocking, i mean the whole northen-western zone of Europe is genetically really similar, the most important point here is cultural.

Yes, that was one of the things pushing me out of it too, thinking that i can be realted to Wiccans isnt really an amusing thought, but im not germanic, my ancestry isnt germanic and even thought there has been germanic population in my country (the Suebi), they didnt really left much behind, and also, the christianization of my land is related to them. If I have to look at some ancestros, these are the Celts.

druidism=/=celtic paganism. of course, there aren't many folkish celtic pagans i could find. i still try my best to practice however.

Druidism was completely wiped out. Reconstruction is impossible.

Celts are european. There was never a major migration of celts onto the british isles. The current Irish are gaels, as are the scots and manx, but they were never celtic. IIRC even wikipedia will mention that celtic only came to describe ireland in the 1700s

I used to have neighbors that were celtic-pagan. The parents were fat SJW liberals, and they had many homosexual friends that they often invited to the house. The oldest son browsed halfchan literally all day, was a self-proclaimed "chaos worshiper" and recently joined the military to serve israel. The younger son was a "Druid", who dropped his liberal shit eventually to become a brosatruar. Other than the tattoos of the parents, you couldn't tell their faith if not for once a year when they "celebrated samhain", which for them meant putting out a bowl of candy for trick-or-treaters by the door, while drinking themselves unconscious in the garage.

Modern practitioners of celtic-paganism are absolutely disgusting and wicca-tier.

I am not advising you against studying their beliefs and culture as best you can, I am just saying that you should avoid the people that practice it today.

The first inhabitors of the isles came from france and spain, both of which were Celtic lands. The irish believed in lug, and there is some evidence that the continental celts did as well, its not like gaels and welsh suddenly appeared from thin air. Also there are plenty of linguistical similarities between island languages and continental languages

Reconstruction isn't really possible, but I'm also not sure how useful reconstruction is anyway. We're different people than our ancestors, it's silly to pretend we aren't. Our relation with the gods will be different. I think reviving paganism requires us to accept that. Obviously this doesn't mean going Wicca or any of the lefty modern bullshit, I just think that religions, especially ones like these, have to be "organic", and not just an plastic copy of the past. It's much more important to understand the meaning and purpose of a ritual or festival than to copy it and pretend we're in the past, and I think we have enough material for a proper understanding of Celtic paganism.
