Historically, asatru pagans were henotheists who thought the Christian God was legit and powerful, just like their other gods, they just didn't follow him.

So you should accept the possibility of the Christian God as probable and legitimate. Otherwise you're more like a modernist atheist, not a traditionalist or pagan if you deny him outright.

I think it's fair to say that most pagans are henotheist to some degree. I have no doubts that the gods of other people exist just as the gods of our own people do. But that does not mean they must be worshipped simply because we acknowledge their existence. Your mistake is applying the Jude's-Christian worldview to the pagan worldview which are drastically different from each other.

I'm an agnostic towards the Jewish god, but Henotheistic within our Gods, being drawn more towards Thunor.

All cultures, even the monotheist ones or bhuddists have angels with some powers.

Im not hostile towards the christian conception of god but Im slightly pissed when they claim to know that Michael is good and Ganesha is evil. Our gods may be like deities/angels that responded to the calls of certain people more then others and established bonds.

While I think Christ was real and that he did have some good knowledge to gleam from, I'm not worshipping him anymore.

>weak trolling

Sorry you think that. Not OPs intention.

>like leftypol telling pol that rich people are bad

Not really. It's more like telling pol that being racist or nationalist isn't sufficient to be called far-right but other factors actually matter more… A lot of pol/yps forget that and think that hating Jews is enough to get "woke". Not so.

It was Porphyry who said: "The Gods have proclaimed Christ to have been most pious among men, but the Christians are a confused and vicious sect."

He was a pagan who wrote a book called "against the Christians" yet even he realized Christ's uniqueness…this was around 230ad but still.

Uniqueness does not mean righteousness or that he should be worshipped. At the time Christianity was considered atheistic and anti-intellectual. And considering how much knowledge has been lost due to the rampant anti-paganism of earlier Christians I'm going to say the assumption was correct.

>/pol/yps

This is /leftypol/ language. If you Would be so kind as to tell us what these "other factors" are that makes someone redpilled I would greatly appreciate it.

>what else to know for far-right polyps?

Traditionalism ala Guenon/schuon/evola. If you have no metaphysics of being, if you cant distinguish the Absolute from the relative and if you arent relating to the Infinite in a personal way you aren't even remotely woke or approaching what is essential. We all need aristocracy of the soul that goes beyond biological reductionism and beyond seeing human "progress" simply as material, scientific and nationalist technocracy.

>uniqueness doesn't mean Righteous

When the gods call you "most pious" you can bet some righteousness is implied. Anyway Porphyry was just one pagan example, the point was that educated pagans recognize the high value of Christ and also Christian theology even if particular christians make historical blunders.

I don't get why anyone thinks that any of the gods are on our side. They aren't.

The gods have always hated us. The world is a place of punishment. Nothing good ever happens, and nothing good can ever happen. Fate will always act against you.

We live in a world of wrath.

The reason the world seems shitty is actually because it does contain goodness, beauty, love and things of value. If it was 100% rotten it wouldn't seem as bad, paradoxically, people would just shrug their shoulders and be hopeless all the time.

Losing beauty and love sucks because they are important and good.
