Basically:
Asatru= Reconstruction of ancient Norse polytheism based on the Eddas + Archaeological evidence, and modern Pagan understandings of the World
Heathenry= Reconstruction of ancient Norse polytheism based only on what we can piece together via historical and archaeological evidence. Argues that Asatru puts too much faith in the Eddas, which were written by a Christian priest, and, they argue, heavily Christianized, and also Asatru is too mixed up in neopaganism and individualism, which is in a sharp contrast with the tribalist religion that the ancient Germanic peoples practiced.
You'd think with a name like /asatru/ this board would be on the Asatruar side, but before recently, 'Asatru' and 'Heathenry' were synonymous. It is possible that this board was created before any distinction between the two was made.
I was wondering what /asatru/'s stance on this was?
Personally, I am on the Heathen side of things. Theologically, I agree with them. The problem arises with the fact that most Heathens are cucks, politically, and basically universalist commies. Theologically, I object to Asatru, but all the Folkish uncucked aryans are Asatruar.
Thoughts on this? Where do you stand?
