 No.11863

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/26/world/asia/borneo-tribe-practices-its-own-kind-of-hinduism.html?_r=0

>Dayak people and their traditional faith gets bullied by muzzies and christians

>Call on Hindus for help

>Get Hindu'd, get a book, get priests and a theological frame

>The missionarys gets repelled because they are now under protection of an organised religion

>Ethno-religion got made and fortified

As Hinduism is inclusive as fuck and the indoayran connection between northern vedic hindus and ancient european pagans is probably not less vague then between this example, it comes to question why asatru/rodnovery and other more organised forms of european polytheism havnt made any attempts yet to look into connections to the polytheists of the subcontinent and maybe piggyback some of its compatible dogmas.

If a european faith would manage to get approved as a sub-branch of hinduism, governmental acceptation of the faith along a more unified theological base more resistant to criticism of "LARPery" could be pursued.

 No.11864

Fuck off

This would connect it to modern hinduism, which is a far cry from the actual indo-european hinduism.

This would further open the floodgates of genocidal tolerance.

>tolerance

While modern mainstream hinduism has changed a lot, it is indeed tolerant towards all kinds of other beliefs the intolerant ones included.

This is what you dont get, tribal/ethnic protector gods and the idea of caste and race IS tolerated by hinduism.

BTW, under the myriad of little offshoot cults a lot of old ones survive to this day, you still got strictly polytheistic sauryata leftover groups who worship a sungod, you have monotheist universalists like the jainists and then you have dravidian tamils with their mother godess that is for them and them alone, you have hippie-whateverfloatsyourboat-hindus with a very asian form of spirituality, then you got hardcore vedic hindutvas.

Do you think indians arent picking up old concepts again from time to time too just like you do here on this board?

Even noneuropean forms with very tolerant views like the monotheistic sikhs are known to only breed among their own and penance transgression if not westernised.

These guys probably understand you more in some regards then you'd like to admit.

The amount of different groups is staggering, you can have a place without having to mix with esha or be tolerant of immigrants-your seclusive intolerance has a place in hinduism as long as you follow some core tentes which are indeed compatible as the definitons of relations can be stretched a lot as seen in the article.

Its the only indo-european pagan religion people still believe in mate. its either this or LARPing

 No.11924

It's worth studying, but to wholesale join it is dumb.

>dumb

not an argument.

 No.11952

>>11949

Fuck off, not an argument is not an argument.

Calling the willfull subvertion of your ancestral religion dumb, is a completely valid argument.

Go back to reddit faggot

 No.11953

>>11952

Its not subversion more like vassaling.

Also not much is "ancestral" anymore as much guesswork is done to fill the gaps that have been left after 1300 years of ceased worship.

Hindus leave to each his own gods and they are able to actually defend polytheism after a long time under the heels of christians and muslim rajas.

Never seen a norse pagan yet who dared an open dialog with a christian theologe yet.

Any good sources on this kind of Hindu theology?
