 No.10188

Hey guys, I just found this board and I'm willing to contribute my Icelandic (old Norse) to your people

 No.10189

Send me emails to goaldenrhino@gmail or just post images or text in here ;)

Does the word "Hrið" mean anything to you?

It's supposed to mean time in old Norse, but with jewgle translate all I get is the word tími which I'd assume means hour.

 No.10195

And thanks for making this thread bróðir!

 No.10200

>>10194

You're welcome bródir, in Icelandic we have a word similar to hrid, it is the word hríd and directly translates to labour, we also use the word hríd for snowstorms and other bad snow weather. So you could assume hríd means "bad times" so you are Google is partially correct…

 No.10204

Where did you found out about the board pal

 No.10215

>>10204

Just board lurking and it caught my attention not much too it, but I do believe in the old gods and I meet up with other asatru believers in Iceland regularly

 No.10236

So I was born with a Jew name that means "YHWH is salvation."

Obviously you can see the problem here. How would I change it so the meaning is an asatru equivalent?

 No.10258

>>10236

Well if you mean change into asatru equivalent as in translating the name or finding changing the name to sound asatru like?

 No.10265

>>10258

I would like the meaning to be changed to something like "Path of the Gods"

How would you translate it?

 No.10270

>>10265

In Icelandic, path of the gods will translate to leid gudanna
