Speaking of the rings of power. I recently realized that Celebrimbor is the only surviving direct relative of Faenor in ME, being his grandson. Makes sense that he could craft such power objects.

Is the Anglo attempt at pronouncing a proper r an actual feature of Sindarin?

Heavy Rs are indeed a feature of Sindarin and Quenya.

Yeah, but is it supposed to sound like that, or like a heavy R spoken by people who's languages naturally have it? What I'm really asking is that did Tolkien have an accent when speaking his own languages?

I don't think you're suppose to roll the Rs. That might be Tolkien.
If you want a good idea, listen to Finnish and Welsh. They respectively inspired Quenya and Sindarin.

Though the pronounciation has similarities, Quenya is definately "softer" than Finnish, with sounds like θ in proper Quenya, shorter long vowels, and smoother long consonants. Quenya only sounds like Finnish when spoken with a Finnish accent.

I'm just saying it since it is on record stated that those are the languages that inspired the two elven tongues.
