5/10 anime, annoyed by the constant TN notes (narration) they pause the story for, these are easily glanced over in the manga which makes it the better way to follow the story. I'm not going to bother to memorize anything that's barely scientific. That's not what I watch anime for. It's very shallow in the subject matter it handles and all in all the concept has been done before, better I might add. The background art and overall production were too low and unimaginative to really capture
Characters could not have any development since there's millions of them and they wanted to keep this part true to reality for who knows what reason, it does make you less invested in characters. Overall a very kiddy show in its handling of morality. Reminded me of Hayao Miyazaki's approach to mainstream media. Most people dropped it after the Cancer episode. And I feel for a good reason. It just kind of lost its novelty.
Overall I feel like if it had non-digital backgrounds I might have enjoyed it more. David Studio is quite infamous for their low quality adaptations so it's not like I went in expecting anything. Also not the biggest fan of Hanakanazawa. Her characters all sound the same and I'm kind of just tired of hearing her in everything. It feels like she's no longer trying as much. She sounds too played out.
Why is there no thread? Because there's nothing to say about the show that hasn't been already said. I had to force myself to stay interested enough not to warrant a drop. Would rather rewatch Star Trek episodes. Not a bad show by any means. Just not all that noteworthy.
