In the latest releases Nagatoro's bullying was a lot more annoying than personally hurtful for senpai. There should be more of the original deconstruction we got in the very first chapter, making him feel bad about all the things he was trying to hide from himself, instead of just giggling and saying that he is gross for being weak, or lazy, or scared. There were many situations were she could have clawed into him and made all the little lies he tells himself hurt, but she doesn't.
