Considering we're exactly the target market I didn't like it all that much.

I had the great displeasure of going through this. It's literally Twilight: The Anime. Everyday I pray that god will help me forget about it even more.

It certainly doesn't look very impressive so far. I was secretly hoping it would pick up later on.

I actually meant to reply to >>813736 but fucked up. As for my opinions, pic related should help clarify.

Yes, my intention behind posting that image was to bring attention to the unusual and eye catching artstyle, which almost borders on a caricature of the general shoujo style. I'd prefer to prompt some discussion, any discussion, rather than the endless and seemingly pointless recitation of the same popular references.

Can't really help you there since I don't intend on watching the show. What made you be interested in it in the first place? Seems pretty generic to merit any form of introspection to me at least.

It came up with what I at least interpreted as a positive mention in a thread discussing tasogare otome x amunejia. I usually try to pick up anime on as little information as possible; the idea is to 'surprise' myself by not developing preconceptions. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised (literal) that I end up disappointed so often. I'm a little astounded that my drop rate is only around 50%. Now, of the 50% that made the cut, how many of those would I say I even generally enjoyed, let alone how many of those I feel added to my life? That is data I haven't thought to record. I expect, as time progresses, that my drop ratio will increase.

That is one weird way of spelling amnesia.

I liked it when I was a 14 year old boy, who was into vampires. Wouldn't watch it now, though. Apparently it had a second season as well(according to the wiki), because I distinctly remember watching more than 12 episode, and hoping for a third season.

They do, don't they. That is a particularly nice screenshot. The animation can look very low budget sometimes. Especially in cooky highschool gimmicks scenes. Not even the animators give a fuck about those.

When I saw it years ago, it was fun. Spoilers, but it's an incest story and the vampires idols idea is neat.

If nothing else, it does look better than the manga. Hell, even the shoujo parody in Kaguya-sama looks better than vampire knight.

I read this post in LaCroix's voice. No I don't have anything constructive to say other than the VA for LaCroix should be in more dubs.

I wonder if that's why shoujo looks so weird, because deep down girls hate things prettier than they are.

 No.815174

That, and just the general self insertism archetyping of shojou. Suddenly it strikes me as embarrassingly naive and childish. I'm probably just cranky and jaded.
