So, I was wondering, does anyone know how much(or little) the Japanese value the right of private property?
I'm not talking about prices or such, I'm talking about how much they, as a people, value the right to sole private ownership of a piece of land and therein the ability to do whatever you want with it insofar it doesn't damage others, and that the state has no business interfering unless it is to protect public health?
For instance, where I'm from, "private property" is basically a euphemism for "long term lease" and is non-inheritable unless the owners sign a contract with the government and would-be inheritors or the government agrees to divide the property between all of the owners next of kin(which is what usually happens, but still).
Sorry for wall of text. Also, had no idea where else to post this shit. Everyone else thinks it's some kind of "subversion/duddn't belong here".
