I wholly agree, but don't give up just yet. Consider, if you will, that things will only get worse, and it takes constant vigilance to spot and resist these issues. Being able to think well in a world of mindless slaves, we're among the few with reason, and so we take up a larger burden individually, but loosen up for too long and the world kills you. Man's curse may force us to have to work hard to live, and it restricts the span of a life, but what did it primarily do? Grant man the ability to think for himself, to philosophize, and reason. Most importantly, to know good from evil, however vaguely at times, and then be able to CHOOSE whatever action one wishes.
So keep yourself sharp and prepared, a new attack, however fake, does mean that more is planned for now. And however hopeless or tiring it may seem, a life spent thinking and acting freely is infinitely more well-spent than servitude.
The moment you stop fighting, you start dying, and if information continues to grow to be controlled, we may be among the last to naturally gain knowledge of the world.
