Greetings, fellow companions! I am CarpeDiem. Many of you are probably aware of my presence on the board's official discord server. For those who are unaware, I am the new board owner, along with two other people and seven board moderators. Drawnon will no longer be active on this board.
Why am I making this sticky?
Glad you asked!
For anyone unaware of the recent events, we've been given a harsh reminder by 8kun of it's policies regarding "18 U.S. Code § 1466A - Obscene visual representations of the sexual abuse of children
It reads:
"Based on the legal analysis of our attorney and upon being informed about a 2018 case (United States v. D), I would like to inform you that obscene visual representations or obscene visual depictions of children are currently illegal under United States federal law. Per the current interpretation of the applicable federal statute (18 U.S. Code § 1466A), said obscene content includes a drawing, cartoon, sculpture, or painting (this is what the law says) and does not require "that the minor depicted exist.
Starting from today 01/25/2021, there will be a Zero tolerance policy on profane images, including minors or those who look to be minors.
What does this mean for us?
L0licon and Sh0tacon are banned. (This includes joke art!)
What if I age up character (x)?
Now, this is a slippery slope.
The answer is yes…But ONLY if it is regarding characters that do not exist in real life.
Characters from live-action TV shows (You know what I'm talking about here) do NOT fall under this new rule.
I don't care, lemme post what I want!
Posting obscene content involving existing children, or people who were formerly children is CHILD PORNOGRAPHY, goes without saying.
You will receive a permanent ban and have your information passed on to your local authorities. To prevent dis identification, torposting is no longer enabled, and vpn users will not be permitted to post (If the range may be far). We've done it before, and we aren't afraid to do it again.
If you are still unsure as to what constitutes as "Obscene", see the Miller Test:
