You can always tell how close you are hitting to the truth by measuring the length of time it takes for censors to step in and by observing the ferocity with which they respond. Just to blow off steam, I posted a simple troll thread several times both last night and this morning over there. No advanced tech, no insider info, just fun times.
However, the basis of the troll was that I was essentially a Chinese operative looking for a scientist who had recently been sharing inventions on both chans. People actually fell for it and inmeditely began making derogatory comments about the fictitious OP and about Asian people generally. Then, something unexpected happened. The mods apparently had also fallen for it, but what they did next reveals who they are really working for. Within minutes of posting the thread, the thread was removed for being "off-topic." This happened about seven times last night. This morning, I was able to get it to stay up for 20 minutes at the end of which came a 3-day IP ban. Changed IPs and then they banned the entire subnet (the last time they did this, it was to prevent dissemination of information about Daphne Westbrook, a fictional character created by the American government to justify the pursuit of John Westbrook.)
So as of this moment, an entire subnet of people are banned (I assume it's only for a few days or a week, it doesn't specify) simply because 4chan moderators think they are helping to prevent the MSS from recruiting American scientists. It is literally that easy.
We need a place where intelligent people can get together and speak freely because halfchan just ain't it anymore.
