Hypothesis Concerning the Root Cause of Migraines and Potential Pathways to a Universal Cure
“We don’t really know what causes migraines.” Is a phrase tossed around quite a bit in the medical community at present. How can it be that after decades of research, we are still not substantially closer to a solution than we were 30 years ago? A wide range of synthetic and natural pharmacological approaches have yielded only marginal results and have done nothing to advance the science of neurology vis a vis migraines. As with so much of the modern medical establishment, the migraine science of today revolves entirely around throwing novel chemical compounds at the problem rather than trying to genuinely understand root causes. It is only by understanding the root cause of migraines that a treatment may be possible, and I submit to you this day that we already have the technical capability to craft a cure… our scientists simply need a nudge in the right direction. This posting will serve as that nudge. Once again, the world’s Ph.D holders’ collective hands need to be held and they need to be led directly to the solution to a problem that has caused a great deal of human misery. So sit down, strap in, and enjoy your gratis breakthrough and the laurels it brings for whoever claims it as their own. (By all means, continue stealing ideas and claiming them as your own, this is America after all.)
When considering migraines, consider the medical condition known as endometriosis. Millions of women suffer from crippling abdominal cramps that result from ectopic endometrial (inner uteran) tissue on the ovaries and even the large intestine that migrated to these areas during fetal development. Nerve impulses from this tissue and the emission of certain chemicals result in not only pain but a loss of productivity each month. The only true cure for that particular condition is the surgical resection of the errant tissues. In the case of migraines, WHICH ARE CAUSED BY ECTOPIC BRAIN TISSUE IN THE UPPER SPINAL COLUMN, surgical resection is impossible without causing death. Given the particular symptoms migraine sufferers report (including flashes of light and seeing spots, photosensitivity, etc.) as well as the recent discoveries into the true cause of left and right handedness i.e. its relation to SPINAL tissues as opposed to the brain (as had been held since the beginning of neurology,) the only logical conclusion is that migraine sufferers have in their upper spinal columns ectopic brain tissue firing nerve signals that are interpreted by the brain as pain, thus disrupting the functioning of most every part of the brain.
This hypothesis may be proven correct by using specially crafted fluorescent dyes to differentiate brain tissue from spinal tissue in deceased migraine sufferers during autopsy. You will find brain tissue in some quantity in the spines of these individuals.
Induced pluripotent stem cells (IPS) offer one possible solution to safely reprogramming ectopic brain cells in undesired areas (outside of the cranium.) The resolution of this issue will restore 1 in 7 humans on planet Earth to full productivity not only by preventing their pain, but preventing the well-documented, insidious mental disorders that seem to result from years of migraine attacks. Another discovery yet to be made is that the migraine is not caused by neuroticism, but rather, the neuroticism by repeated migraines in those that suffer from them. Not to mention, it will collapse a $6.5 Billion/year pharmaceutical section aimed at merely (barely) controlling the symptoms of migraines rather than stopping them entirely.
