Dice rollRolled 6, 4 + 2 = 12 (2d6)

I am getting new emails at a rate of 1/minute from someone (partially) signing up for all kinds of accounts using my email. I never click the activation link. The 2 usernames used in the sign up process are consistent, but the web accounts the person is signing me up for include:

-Hockey

-Birdwatching

-Travel Agencies

-Video Production Companies

-Graphic Art Companies

-Lord of the Rings Trading Cards

-Hotel Companies

-Restaurants in Central America

None of which I have signed up for.

Have I become the victim of a strange trolling campaign? Why would someone be using my email to sign up for accounts all day that they can't activate?

100% not an ARG. The variety of interests is astounding. I don't know what I could have done to have this happen to me.

Any insight is appreciated.

I should also add that this is not comprimised whatsoever.

Why would someone be partially signing up for tons of stuff?

This is sometimes called email bombing.

Often done when someone wants to hide an email from you.

For example if they hack an account you own and do something where you'd get an email. They'll email bomb to cover it up.

Either

>someone stole your data from a unsecure wifi network and spoofed your device, though why aren't the mail deleted?

>some giant infoleak had your credentials and someone is using your mail

>some psycho or lea double agent got your mail and is trying to set you up or best case just shit on you

>some hacker let out a worm which does this automatically to every account it sees
