My mom started to get into crystals and got a few from some WIccan store yesterday. One of the crystals disappeared along with the pouch it was in. My mom went back and told the lady at the Wiccan store about it and she seemed pretty freaked out.

Is some faerie in our house? Will Ayy Lmaos visit me in the night? I'm pretty paranoid tbh.

For it to be taken from your home is odd. Where was it stored? Could the place it was stored be confused for an altar of some sort? You either just inadvertently made an offering to some being, or at some point you let a demon enter your house. Pray it's the latter.

I can't believe I found this thread in the catalog. I was just telling someone recently about someone I knew that had this silver-looking Irish wishing stone, which was probably a type of marble that is sold from Ireland, but I don't remember it having any green color like the others do. They used to keep in their kitchen cabinet, but one day they had found it just vanished out of the box. This was well over ten years ago now and I no longer have contact with their family.

This interests me because I had household spirits on my mind. Do you have more to share about this?

Yeah, we call this "'taking a walk". Literally everything can do it. >>55091 is right.

I once threw a piece of calcite towards a frozen lake, intending to break the ice and leave the stone underwater. The stone vanished in midair. Right before my very eyes, one moment it was there, the next it was just gone. Broad daylight, too; the thing was substantially sized, it would've made a sound when it hit even if my eyes failed to track it, it would've been obvious where it landed. Just disappeared.

So uh… If anyone here is ever hit by a piece of green calcite a bit larger than a tennis ball, I'm sorry. I only somewhat understood what I was doing at the time.

Has anyone also put serious thought into that missing sock? People always just shrug it off like "oh, a sock went missing" even after searching everywhere. This is huge cognitive distancing. That sock vanished into another realm.

Yeah, the KnoxKast Radio podcast had a three part series on "Socktopia", the world of lost socks. It was pretty great.

There's a plane for lost pens, too, but that says little. There's a plane for everything that can be conceptualized.
